Coming back to a land I can call my own, sitting by the stream, surrounded by the shade of trees that gently hug me as the leaves rustle and one falls in my palm, I lie down and look up at the sky, the sunbird is singing and we are laughing, the water goes on flowing, and I look at all of us, wondering how easily we have made our home in nature.

When did I last feel so calm? My coffee smells so good here. At this moment, I am touching the world through the wind, my family, my books and a heart so full of love, like I am lying in the lap of a blessing, away from the rush, in the company of sweet mangoes and the shining sun.

I sleep so peacefully, waking up to a day full of light, planning yet another trail, each day so real, each day a delight. The hills are my home, my heart of the green, I cannot leave. I am aware of a dream, tasting life on the slopes of a beautiful town blooming with the rare Neelakurinji.
